Marecho C. Cowles (Mar
ie-chew) is my WIFE!

We met through a Christian web site. She is a beautiful Filipina.
She recently received her bachelors with a major is Office Management at St. Vincent's College.
She speaks Tagalog, Cebuano (Bisaya), and English.

Marecho lived in Dipolog City on Mindanao at the southern end of the Philippine Islands
(There are 7,107 islands in the archipelago!). She was in the Estaka Barangay. She has five sisters and four brothers!
Ninety percent of the Philippines is Christian or Catholic! Her parents have been married over thirty five years.

We met in the middle of 2004 at Christianet.com and greatly enjoy each other!
It is amazing what simple communication can bring to build a relationship!

Marecho, Dave, & Raeny Cowles

We spent seventeen days together in the Philippines in May of 2005. It was there, in Dipolog City,
that I proposed to her in person and asked her parents, Jimmy & Florinda Clamohoy, for permission to marry her.
It was easily one of the happiest times of my life.

I often said that my daughter, Raeny, is the standard by which I looked for a wife.
Raeny is honest, intelligent, pure, beautiful, full of life, funny, charismatic, responsible, loyal, loving, friendly, playful, adventurous, sweet, decent, has a great sense of humor, and is one of God's true innocents.

HIGH STANDARDS!

I felt that Marecho met them all!
At age 23, she was at the low end age wise that I had considered for a wife.
However, she is mature, honest, intelligent, beautiful, loyal, dependable, dedicated, and loving.
She has proven herself beyond measure!
Life in the Philippines is much harder for most than life in the States. The people mature quicker while maintaining a wonderful almost child-like innocence.

We decided to try courting and to see where God lead us.
It was not long before we both felt we were lead to be together.

On September 30th, 2004, I proposed to Marecho and she accepted!

I am a blessed man!

Marecho smiles!

Marecho and I were married September 16, 2006!
Woooo hooo!

I could not think of a better birthday present than meeting Marecho and her family!
I arrived in Dipolog City on my birthday!
Being engaged to someone who is 9,600 miles away offers many challenges as well as opportunities for growth and change!

Marecho is a dream come true. I truly adore her and couldn't be happier.

I missed Raeny terribly, but would not have willingly left otherwise. It is the beginning of a great adventure and I feel blessed!
